Frequently asked questions about ordering on GOLD THIMBLE’s online store

How do I place an order online?

Shopping on gold thimble ONLINE couldn’t be simpler.

Just follow these simple steps:

 

​1. Select the items that you would like to buy. 

 

2. Clicking on the item will display more information about it, such as the materials, dimensions, price, and quantities. ​

 

3. Select an item or and add it to your shopping bag. You can continue to shop. You can add more items to your shopping bag. You can return to your bag later. 

4. Once you are ready to pay, to process your order, select your shopping bag to be taken to your cart and then select “process order”.

 

5. Enter your contact details, delivery preferences, and your payment details. Once you have entered your information, confirm that your order has been processed.

6. Check your email mailbox for your order confirmation.

What payment methods can I use?

You can pay for your order with your credit or debit card, as well as with your Paypal ACCOUNT.

What delivery methods do you offer?

You can receive your order via home delivery through our standard delivery service, fulfilled by royal mail, or you can collect from store. We offer free delivery on all orders £35 and over. 

Collect from Store

Free

If you place your order before 2 pm, your order will be ready for you collect After 1 pm the next working day. You can collect your order from our store Gold Thimble at 70 Coustonholm Road, Glasgow, G43 1TZ. We will email and text you when your order is ready for collection. 

FOR How Long Will My Order Be Ready to Collect?

Your order will be reserved for YOU 6 working days after you receive notification that your order is ready to collect. You will automatically be refunded if your order is not collected. 

When collecting your order please bring:

  1. Your order confirmation number;

  2. Valid photographic ID; and,  

  3. ​Confirmation of payment, such as your payment confirmation email from your Paypal ACCOUNT. ​

WE Charge £3.50 on all orders under £35.

 

Order £35 or over

Free

We provide a free delivery service for all orders over £35.

How will I know that my order has been dispatched?

You will receive an email from us when your order has been dispatched. You will be unable to track your order; however, you should expect you receive your order within 3-5 working days of you placing your order.

What is your returns policy?

We are more than happy to provide you with a return or refund if you have changed your mind about keeping your order, or part of your order.

Unless faulty or received damaged, for unwanted item(s) please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 14 days of receiving your order.

What do I do I my order is faulty or damaged?

If you believe your item(s) are or is faulty, or that you received your order damaged, please contact us using the email used you used to place the order at goldthimblefabrics@gmail.com with an image and description of the fault or damage as well as by quoting your order number. We will aim to respond to you within 48 hours.​​

How do I make a return?

You can make your return at our shop, Gold Thimble, or you can make your return via Royal Mail. If the item(s) you receive are faulty or damaged we will reimburse you the costs of postage for Royal Mail 2nd class standard delivery service.

How will be I refunded?

We will refund you to your original payment method.

Store refund

If you would like to make a return an online order in store please keep your order confirmation as proof of payment. If your refund is authorised, we will email you within 48 hours to confirm that you have been refunded.

 

Once this happens, you should expect to receive your refund your original payment method within 3 – 5 working days.

Postal refund

You can return your order to your local post office VIA ROYAL MAIL.

If you would like to make a return by post please keep your receipt from the Post Office as your proof of return.

 

For postal returns include a copy of your order confirmation email or your delivery note.

Please detail whether you would like a return, a replacement, or an exchange for the item or item(s) concerned. You'll receive an email to confirm when we have received the returned item(s).

Once this happens, you should expect to receive your refund your original payment method within 3 – 5 working days.
